Successful Diet

Half-way through it

When I was in my twenties I used to weigh 110 lbs, I still have the time and energy to at least exercise (using video tape) every weekend. When I'm about to get married (5 months before) I enrolled myself in  Slimmer's World and had diet so I can look great on my wedding gown. A photo of me with my cousins before my wedding

And a photo of me on our wedding day June 2003

During my first pregnancy I weight 135 lbs up to my 9th month this was June 2004. Then I trimmed down to 120 lbs when my first baby had his 1st birthday. June 2005

And then I got this retrobulvar neuritis (where my right eye got blind) October 2006. I was confined in the hospital for 3 days to have steroids and to monitor my eye sight. Medication was for 3 months to totally recover. The effect of this steroids to me is that I never get tired, hungry or even get full. So I just work, work, eat and eat until I didn't noticed that I have a moon face.

This was during the medication period
I got pregnant again for my second baby and I gained a lot of weight compared to my 1st one from 135 lbs up to the 9th month for my 2nd I was 148 lbs.

Until I realized that I was already 152 lbs (and gaining). I have to start losing weight because of health, it's hard to stand up specially during mornings from bed. 2nd its hard to buy clothes because you have to look for the biggest size, as in a 2XL-3XL (regular clothing). Flashback on myself before I began my diet

My photo before I started the diet
I asked a co-worker at the office if she can share with me her diet and she willingly shared it with me. I started March 2012 with the weight of 152 lbs. clothes size of 2XL and waist of 34". At first it was really hard doing the diet, I mean you eat food that is weigh before cooking so masakit sa ulo on the 1st week. No rice, bread, sauces, you have to eat vegetables, fruit, chicken, fish and beef. Then in 2 months I lost 12 lbs

This shopping experience really made our trip memorable. Sana mura lang ang pamasahe going to Malaysia, just to go shopping. Ang mura lahat, from food, clothes and things for the house. I heard that IKEA is planning to have a store here in the Philippines, sana same price as from other Asian countries. I saw from the web those who are selling selected items here the price are 3-4 times higher from the original price.

Last Day @ KL

March 29, Friday. It is our last day at Kuala Lumpur and we are spending it on shopping. We first went to a Mall(The Curve) near IKEA, here we shopped at Panini Concept store where Dad bought his pants ans shorts (all on sale) RM99 less 50% so it's PhP 600+ each not bad for a men's pants and shorts that is usually 1T even on sale here in Manila. I bought another shoes (Vincci) for RM14.50 still on sale, actually everything is on sale and the difference of the sale items in Malaysia from Manila its the regular items and not just its the last pair or its a little damage. F.O.S store for the nice t-shirts, pasalubong for my niece and our beloved yaya D, also for myself. We had lunch at T.G.I.F. and it's also price is cheaper that in Manila and parang mas madami ang serving.

And Shaun saw again a fountain and have his photo opt with Daddy.
The IKEA adventures begins. The place was so big and there are so many people doing there shopping. So many stuff to buy and its all mura from RM 5 to 11 you can buy the nicest things for the kitchen.

Here Dad and Shaun is checking on the sample kitchen set up, so nice and neat a kitchen in white color.
Also with white motif for a living room. The kids got this measuring tape and kept on measuring every furniture we pass by.

They wished to bring all these chair home, so comfy even Dad really want to buy a chair for him and bring to Manila and it's on sale. But the problem is how will he bring this home even if it's the parts are for assembling. Sold at RM189 (Php 2500). There is a store who is actually selling this IKEA chair but for Php5T, the shipping fee is charge to the buyer.
And they are trying out the beds and dreaming to have like this for their own room.

Moymoy pretending that this one is his office.

**I'll be posting a separate article about my IKEA shopping and all the pasalubongs we bought.

March 30, Saturday. Departure day from Malaysia to Manila. Final packing of stuff and hoping that we are not overweight for all the stuff we bought. We have lots of chocolates (as pasalubongs and for us), cookies, food and clothes. Had lunch at Peri-Peri chicken. Food is also great.

This family photo is Shaun's request before we head to the airport, he actually want this printed and displayed together with the framed picture at home and at Dadad's place.

3 pm bound to the KLIA. We rode on two separate cars. Rhea and the kids(and the bags) rode to the car of their friend while Me, Dad and Dadad is with Erwin's car. Erwin brought us where the Malaysian Government buildings are located and it was so beautiful and clean.

And we reached the airport, good thing Rhea checked us in early, so many people going home(mostly Pinoys) we had a seat by the window for the kids although we are seats apart. Shaun gained a friend inside the airplane, the two girls are so aliw with him (Joan and Rachel) they even gave him a stuff Cebu Pacific Airplane. We arrived early in Manila since we left Malaysia on time for the 630 flight.

This trip is surely will be a memorable one for my kids, it was an early summer vacation for them. Thanks to Ninang Rhea and Ninong Erwin for the wonderful experience in KL, Malaysia.
